All I know is that the more I read, the sadder I am for him....for his death, but even more so for his tragic life.
"Adults failed me." ~ Michael Jackson(from Bashir's interview)
Yes, they sure did, from his father to the media/public. He had no chance to be "normal".

And I believe with all my heart, that he was innocent. He LOVED children, he loved the World, despite everyone that was trying to tear him down.

I believed that, too. Same way I believe that no self-respecting parents whose child has been molested would settle for millions of $.

Irony is that in 1980, when John Lennon was shot, I had little clue about who the Beatles were. I learned more about him because my parents belong in his generation and were huge fans. We had album records, and on his death, articles, magazines were all around the house and I starting reading. Only then did I became a fan, until now. Now, with tributes and videos of MJ being shown on TV since Thursday, my son is discovering him and has become an instant fan. He's even trying the "moonwalk" LOL and keeps asking me to put on MJ's music video "Smooth Criminal" from YouTube, which is one of my favourites (he paid homage there to Fred Astaire, one of the greatest dancers and he did the amazing anti-gravity lean). I'm just having trouble explaining to him though, why Michael's appearance change drastically over the years, as I couldn't understand it myself. Then my my son piped in, "maybe thats' how he died. He got lighter and lighter."

What I also learned from one of his interviews is his admission that he was a lonely man. The best performers of the world, often say that.

Still couldn't believe that he is really gone. There wouldn't be anyone like him, ever.
