 This is so good!
Got this in an email. Link is safe. Smiley

Below is a link to one of the best pieces of sound engineering work I think I have ever seen.  It is a composite audio/video of song whereby additional tracks were laid in by different singers and musicians from different places around the world.  The finished product is tremendous!

The song itself is that classic standard "Stand By Me" originally released in 1955 by The Staple Singers and released again in 1961 by the Drifters.  This composite version is a real toe tapper, so turn up the speaker volume and click here:

Brilliant and awesome! Thanks for sharing, Sully!

It reminds me of a commercial that was shown years ago. I forgot if it was from Microsoft but it featured musicians
all over the world, too, doing pretty much the same thing. I've always enjoyed that. Let's see if I can dig it up.

I found this feature about the director of that documentary for Play for Change. At the end of the song, there is an interview of him.
Very touching!

I loved it!!    That was great how they tied in so many artists/cultures/countries.   Who knows, maybe they could contact each other somehow through the people who produced the video.

It goes to show how very human we all are no matter the skin colour, beliefs, continent.  We all need someone to stand by us.  We all have troubles (granted some are on a larger scale).  We all need hope.  We all need to believe tomorrow will be okay.
